Summary: Effectively assist the manager in growing revenues and profitability of an Ames Tools store, complying with company policies and procedures. Accomplish any tasks deemed necessary to achieve these goals as directed by the Regional Manager and or store manager. Also, to assist the regional manager in store coverage needs as they arise.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years related experience.
Competencies:
Experienced store operations Associate with outstanding skills is customer service, tool product knowledge, understanding of and ability to sell importance of service in the tool rental equation, inventory control experience, problem solving skills (both technical & financial) , good communications skills and ability to build relationships with repeat customers.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have valid driver’s license. In some stores will need to be able to pass the forklift Certification after hired.

Compensation:
Salary :
$24.00 to $25.00 per hour
Incentive Pay:
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive Plan, which is based on a combination of individual and company performance.
