Central Arizona College, as a state public institution of higher education, is a comprehensive multi-campus community college serving primarily the people of Pinal County. The open door concept provides access to educational opportunities for people with diverse interests, talents, abilities, ages, cultural backgrounds, and ethnic views. The college is dedicated to the lifelong learning process and seeks to further the educational, social, economic, and cultural development of its constituents in the following areas:

General Education - CAC offers programs of study and courses designed to develop competencies and positive attitudes that enhance individual performances. Transfer Education - CAC offers courses and programs of study at the freshman and sophomore level, and the Associate of Arts degree designed to prepare students for transfer to other colleges and universities. Furthermore, the college recognizes its responsibility to articulate academic courses with other colleges and universities.

Occupational/Technical Education - CAC offers courses, programs of study, the Associate of Applied Science degree, and certificates of completion which provide competency-based education and training to prepare students for employment in business and industry, to upgrade employee job skills, and to prepare for career change.

Student Development - CAC offers programs, services, activities, and other experiences designed to assist students in identifying and achieving their personal, educational and career goals.

Developmental Education - CAC offers courses in basic skills designed to help students overcome barriers to achieving success as they seek academic, career, or personal goals.

Continuing Education/Community Services - CAC offers campus and community-based courses, programs of study, and activities designed to meet the occupational, educational, cultural, and societal needs of the community and individuals. Economic Development - CAC assists local communities in attracting and retaining business and industry. The college offers classes, workshops, lectures, seminars, and other activities that support the needs of the employer, the employee, and the community.
