ACC’s service area encompasses the following
counties: Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell, Blanco,
Burnet, and Gillespie. ACC is a major contributor to the quality of
life and economic prosperity of Central Texas.
Each
year more than 65,000 credit and non-credit students take advantage
of ACC’s low tuition, small classes, convenient locations, and
great instructors. Fall semester 2003 credit enrollment included
28,862 students. The ACC student body is very diverse and Hispanic
students make up 21% of the student body.
Associate of Arts and Associate of Science
degrees are available in over 30 university transfer majors;
Associate of Applied Science degrees and certificates in over 50
technical fields. ACC also offers several Special Academic Programs:
An Honors Program for academically talented and motivated students;
Service Learning, classes that provide both classroom instruction
and outside volunteer opportunities; Early College Start, to allow
high school students to enroll in college-level courses before
completing high school; and Tech-Prep, to allow high school students
to complete technical courses that will be credited toward an ACC
degree after high school graduation. |
