Salary Range: $41,017 - $58,219
The Police Officer Trainee position is a paid entry-level position while attending the 660 hour, 16-20 week Police Academy and twelve weeks of Field Training. Upon satisfactory completion of the academy, the trainee is promoted to Police Officer. Trainees serve an 18 month probationary period from the date of hire.

Police Officer Trainee Screening and Testing Process
When accepting applications, applications are screened to see that the candidate meets the minimum qualifications. All candidates that meet the minimum qualifications are invited to the next available test date.

The Scottsdale Police Department will reopen the recruitment for police officer/trainee on February 9, 2004.
