Direct Support Professional (Bilingual)

New Jersey Direct Care LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide services to adults who have developmental disabilities.

A client is requesting the following:

A Bilingual DSP who can provide service 2-7 PM Mon-Fri or 2-8 PM Mon-Fri. (Possible to get up to 30 hours per week).

The assistance each individual requires is different and is based on their level of functioning.

Common responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with dressing and getting ready for the day
• Taking an individual out into the community
• Working on enhancing social skills
• Teaching a new skill
• Identifying new interests and hobbies
• Assistance with job applications
• Bathing
• Feeding
• Companionship

The role will begin as a part-time position with full-time hours implemented once hours are available.

Ideally, an individual who has open availability that can cover all of Monmouth County will be able to maximize hours.

The person must have a Driver's License in good standing, no more than 4 points on their MVR, a High School Diploma or GED, ability to pass a Criminal Background Check and a Drug Screen. Fingerprints will also be required as well as CPR/First training.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
